The company was jointly funded and established by Beijing Sinohytec Co.,Ltd. and Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. It was established in June 2021. Both parties hold 50% of the shares. The company is committed to popularizing FCEV through the production and sales of fuel cell systems developed by "United Fuel Cell System Research and Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as FCRD), and contributes to the realization of a "hydrogen energy society" and an "environmental mobile society". The company is headquartered in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of approximately 110,000 square meters. It has seven individual buildings including production plants, testing workshops, R&D buildings, laboratories, hydrogen stations, comprehensive station buildings, and waste storage facilities. It is scheduled to officially go into production in August 2024. The factory's production process is based on the concept of environmental protection and uses the TPS production method to create an intelligent production system, possessing the ability to flexibly respond to market demands. The company's products are based on Toyota's advanced fuel cell technology and independently designed and developed by FCRD to meet the different output power requirements of China's commercial vehicle sector. They feature high power, high reliability, long product lifetime, and low cost, and can be adapted to various vehicle types such as buses, group buses, logistics vehicles, and trucks. At present, the company is collaborating with enterprises in the upstream and downstream of the industry to explore more application scenarios of fuel cell systems, develop more diversified products, promote the construction of a green and low-carbon transportation system, and contribute to the sustainable development of energy and the environment.
