Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967 and became the No. 1 automobile corporation in South Korea upon its acquisition of Kia Motors in 1998, leading to the official inception of Hyundai Motor Group (“HMG”) in 2000. Since HMG moved up to third in global automobile sales in 2022, it has solidified the position for three consecutive years as of 2024. From its early beginnings in fuel cell research in 1998, HMG has been dedicated to pushing the envelope on hydrogen technology, mass production and application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for over 25 years, with its world-leading technology advantages. HMG launched ‘HTWO’ dedicated fuel cell system brand in 2020, for ushering in building hydrogen society and promoting sustainable development for human society. In 2024, Hyundai Motor announced that it would expand HTWO brand into the Group’s hydrogen value chain business brand. HMG invested and established HTWO Guangzhou, serving as the Group's first overseas R&D, production and sales base for hydrogen fuel cell systems. HTWO Guangzhou started mass production in June 2023, with annual capacity of 6,500 units of fuel cell systems, covering an area of 202,000 square meters for fuel cell stack and system plant, R&D center, innovation center. HTWO Guangzhou specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of hydrogen fuel cell stacks, systems, and core components, and holds the qualification for producing special purpose vehicles. In addition to supplying high-quality fuel cell system products to automotive OEMs, we also provide system-to-vehicle integration services. Together with local partners, we have launched special purpose vehicles such as 4.5-ton hydrogen fuel cell box-type trucks, sanitation trucks, refrigerated trucks, and 8.5-meter city buses. Moving forward, we will successively offer 18-ton, 32-ton, and 49-ton models, along with comprehensive after-sales services to ensure the stable operation of all hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
